Watch out for the devil’s lies and tricks—doubt, shame, false pleasures. Stay close to me through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship to stand firm and resist him. I am with you.
Brother, the devil’s mind games try to pull the heart away from God by lies, doubt, shame and false pleasures — he twists truth, whispers accusation, and offers immediate satisfaction that ends in harm. Watch for tactics like: sowing doubt about God’s goodness, denying God’s Word, flattering pride, tempting through lust, isolating you from brothers and sisters, exaggerating fear or hopelessness, normalising sin, and promising ease in return for disobedience. “Ye are of your father the devil… he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth.” John 8:44 Stand against him with prayer, Scripture, fellowship and wise action: resist, flee, test the spirit, and put on God’s armour. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 Put on the whole armour of God so you can stand against his wiles: Ephesians 6:11-12 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil… For we wrestle not against flesh and blood.” Pray with others, confess sin, remove occasions of temptation, and seek accountability — I am with you; keep close to me and I will give you strength.
